The Arts & Crafts | New Design Biennial welcomes all professionals in the sector as well as the public at large

The Biennial will begin in

The Arts & Crafts | New Design Biennial will launch its 1st edition in September 2022, with a focus on Craftsmanship, Technology, Innovation and Sustainability.

Centered in downtown Oeiras, Portugal, between the 20th and 21st of September, the program will consist of an International Conference , a Fair with Workshops and Masterclasses , a presentation of Short-movies (“Curtas”). The Biennial will also extend to other parts of the country, during the months of April, May and June: four Open Days weekends will take place in the Algarve, Alentejo, Centre and North of Portugal.

With the plurality of actions that characterize it and the territories covered, the Biennial seeks to be a pioneering event in the national Arts & Crafts panorama, contributing to its reinforcement, as well as bringing people closer both to the intangible heritage and the contemporary creations that it inspires.

Demonstration of work on the potter's wheel, where, in addition to the trainer, the public who is interested can experience the "pulling" of a piece on the potter's wheel. The Workshop will be promoted by CEARTE.
